Plot twist: the thesis became the pitch
I did not plan to pitch my master's thesis. The thesis reads EU tender notices, extracts the items in them and scores how far each one can be trusted. A calibrated score does not fit into one day, so I built a small MVP around it that answers a vendor's question: which EU buyers are moving towards what I sell?
01
Thesis engine underneath161 past EU awards, labelled into items and states. Every item is a verbatim quote from the notice.
02
Item confidence at the coreThe thesis scores how far each extracted item can be trusted. Here: the engine's real validation checks. The calibrated score is still in progress.
03
Agents for researchApify actors collect market signals. Claude with web search briefs each top tender.
04
Agents for the emailAn outreach agent turns past awards, fit and trends into a sourced draft email.

What I learned
Lesson 1
Pitch the use, not the methodPeople ask “who do I call next week?”, not how the extractor works.
Lesson 2
Research first, build fastThe thesis had already solved the hard part, so the day went into connecting it to signals.
Lesson 3
Agents win the last mileResearch and drafting saved the most time, and they are only as good as their sources.
Lesson 4
Be honest about numbersAn uncalibrated score is the first thing a sharp judge questions. Show what is real.
Lesson 5
Record the demoLive calls fail on stage. Recorded runs keep the demo reliable and free to host.
